I love to drive...

And hopefully by Wednesday I'll be driving this:
Mazda Tribute Luxury 2003
I had been hoping to wrangle a Prado but finances, availability and the change of ownership at D's work is dictating that we must buy now and get something suitable, not necessarily the car we (read *I*) really wanted.

I took the Tribute for a test drive today and it was nice; great pick up, easy to drive, comfy seats (MOST important.) This particular car has two extra seats in the back (after market), they are kind of mini-kid-only seats which, of course, the kids thought were a great novelty! The roof racks are standard and there's also a towbar and child seat bolts already in place; all essentials.

I have to say though; it's been a damned long time since I've driven an automatic so the non-gear-changes were odd feeling. The other thing that was odd was the positioning of the hand brake:
Dash and console.
You can just see the handbrake on the passenger side of the console. Some brilliant designer decided that it was more important for the driver of this car to have easy access to their drink rather than the hand brake. Look at all those nice shiny buttons! I've never had such buttony car! It also has cruise control which I haven't had in a car since... about ten years ago.

So, fingers crossed, after Wednesday we will be able to go here:
and here:
and here:
Newnes
And maybe here:
Wooli Creek
Or places something like those...

This list was inspired by the desire to drive,

Kindest Wishes,
AJ
